Yes..I have noticed that. Its been way over 4 bucks! I think it may be a refinery issue. Watch how high groceries will be soon. The trucking companies certainly will add a fuel surcharge onto the bill. It will effect us all. Isn't diesel less refined than gasoline? What could be the refinery issue? |

Isn't diesel less refined than gasoline? What could be the refinery issue? First reason is they changed it for 08 to low sulfur diesel, that requires more refining, so it cost more.Diesel has more tax in it than gasoline about 6-8 cents, Our refineries only produce 15% diesel from a barrel of oil and 35 % gas and the remaning 50% another products /heating oil, tar, jet fuel,etc./ The U.S. Imports diesel from Europe because we can make enough.And I think people don't look at diesel prices because they think doesn't affect them. So the companies inflate the diesel prices |

Compared to other countries, it seems the US has the lowest gas prices perhaps, but other countries gas is heavily taxed and it helps pay for things like universal health care and public transportation, other countries especially in Europe also have much better public transportation systems and people have shorter commutes and they have much smaller more fuel efficent cars, here in the states you'd need at least a mid size car to protect yourself from the mini monster trucks that every other person drives beautiful Yes..I have noticed that. It's already started. The price of the staple foods has already risen. Bread, Milk ect.. the things that everyone has to have ...have gone up at least a dollar per product. Milk is like 4.00 a gallon down here, even the cheap bread (which my wife won't feed our kids) is 2.50 a loaf. Notice how standard of living wage increase have NOT occurred. We're in serious trouble. People are being forced to spend more with no hope of earning more. This is only the beginning. It's going to get much worse in time. It is all part of Bush's plan to turn Americans to slaves Notice the wealth is being accelerated upwards, I assure you those in the top 20% are not suffering they are making a killing from their oil stocks Things are going to get alot worse in this country, things like hockey and sports are pretty much meaningless, the Media now is having a field day because they are attacking Obama left and right because he is the only one who really wants to take America back from the rich pigs and give it back to the people I only hope there is some type of uprising and this country is taken back, there will eventually be one because people wont take much more if it and they will wake up The only war I see is the war from the Upper class onto the Middle and Lower class and they are winning, once Americans wake up they will realize this and I hope it isnt pretty |

Actually corn price is shooting through the roof due to the ethanol bullcrap, leading to higher feed prices which in turn raises prices on the staples. |
