Problem is IG, some of the hard questions would NEVER be handled in public. So when you hope that hard questions will be answered, ya gotta be a bit realistic about it. Some things are just not meant for the public. Come up with an example of a hard question you'd like answered. maybe not so hard...but... Garth, I would like to know if the Islanders are looking to re-sign Dubie. I'm hoping not to hear "we'll see how the negotiations go". Dubie says he wants to be here..are the Islanders interested in having Dubie back? He has proven to be a capable back-up...and has been huge in big games. Dubie is a very popular Islander...and the fans want him back. Thanks, Paul |

No argument here...I agree with everything you said...its a very positive thing. I just hope they pick some of the hard questions that may come their way. I agree. What's more, I hope they answer those questions on the ICE next season. I don't want to go into next season with a quasi-AHL roster, but I ALSO don't want them to throw away our quality youth for a quick fix. Most of all, I don't want to be embarrassed to be a fan of this team. I don't want to hear how no one wants to play here, I don't want to see us picking for scraps from the bottom of the free-agent barrel. I don't want them to blame this season on the Coach, when everyone KNOWS he's yet to start a season here as a favorite to win anything other than a lottery pick. This Franchise has a PROUD history...I just want them to carry themselves in a manner which demands the respect of the rest of the NHL. Of course winning has everything to do with it. I think they're on the right track with Nolan and Snow. I just hope all the crap we've heard about them is overblown. |

Geez guys, this is exactly what I would want to see, so kudos to Wang, Snow & Co. for doing this. Regarding hard questions, it depends. If you are going to pull a Lehrer dirty curveball, "So, after you sell the poor, eat their children, and take all their property, will you continue with No Child Left Behind Mr., oops, President Bush," you may not get an answer. Their hands will be tied on some subjects but the spirit of the thing is a good one. Mad Mike was of the, "Go F yourself isle fans, I will shame and disgrace this place any way I deem fit and tough nuggies to you for questioning my unquestionable decisions." I am certainly no brainless cheerleader, but even I have hope and won't beat them up for doing more things which are positive as opposed to negative. Give them a chance for heavens sake. SHEESH! |
